A vehicle as flexible as you are has a third row of seats that’s quickly available whenever you need it. The two additional seats face forward and can be adjusted individually.
Adaptive Drive
Athletic performance and comfort are no longer mutually exclusive: if desired, Adaptive Drive combines the two active chassis control systems, Dynamic Drive and Dynamic Damping Control, for a more relaxed driving experience.
Adaptive Drive calculates lateral and longitudinal acceleration, and speed and steering angle, to ensure an elevated performance. In curves or sudden changes of direction, the use of Active Roll Stabilization (ARS) affects handling to minimize body roll and keep the vehicle level. By virtually eliminating swaying or tilting behavior, Dynamic Drive Control (DDC) also delivers unmatched agility, for exceptional comfort and unmatched driving pleasure.

You don't have to listen to a specific radio station, or even have the radio on, to receive updates every few minutes. And you can see everything clearly on the large, high-resolution screen.
Enhanced emergency call
by bmwcon under
In critical situations, every second counts. The enhanced emergency call function, a BMW ConnectedDrive service, is automatically activated following an incident and provides information such as the vehicle's position and the type of accident.
As soon as the airbags on the vehicle are activated, you are automatically connected to the BMW Call Center. The position of the BMW X5 as well as the data collected by the crash sensors (e.g., airbag activation or passenger occupancy) is evaluated and passed on. This ensures that the rescue services are fully informed as to the type of accident and are prepared when they arrive at the scene. If you witness an accident without being involved yourself, you can activate the emergency call manually. The enhanced emergency call is available in selected countries.
